Advice you can act on.
Hardware that works.

PK Tech Gurus is a UK technology company that does both halves of the job: the independent consultancy that decides what your organisation should run, and the repair bench that keeps the equipment you already own alive. One team, one invoice, no reseller margin hidden in the middle.

Registered in England & Wales Company No. 16207856 Vendor-neutral advice
Same-day response target on remote triage
Repairs on laptops, desktops, servers & peripherals
Fixed written quotes before any work begins
Your data stays yours — UK GDPR handling
What we are registered to do

Three disciplines, deliberately kept under one roof

Most technology problems get handed between an adviser who never touches the hardware and a repair shop that never sees the strategy. We were incorporated to close that gap — our filed activities cover consultancy, physical repair and ongoing service, so the same people carry a problem from diagnosis to done.

SIC 62020

IT consultancy

Working out what your organisation actually needs before anyone spends money on it — systems, cloud, licensing, security posture and the migration plan that gets you there.

  • Technology reviews and roadmaps
  • Cloud and Microsoft 365 planning
  • Independent procurement advice
SIC 95110

Computer & peripheral repair

A genuine bench service. Board-level fault finding, part replacement, thermal and power faults, storage failures and the peripherals everyone forgets until they stop working.

  • Laptops, desktops, all-in-ones, servers
  • Screens, keyboards, batteries, drives
  • Printers, docks, monitors and NAS units
SIC 62090

Ongoing IT services

Everything after the project closes: support you can call, patching that actually happens, backups that are tested, and someone who already knows how your setup is wired.

  • Remote and on-site support
  • Backup, continuity and monitoring
  • Onboarding, offboarding and device setup
Why it matters

The people who advise you are the people who open the machine

An adviser who never sees a failed drive gives different advice from one who replaces them. A repair shop that never sees your roadmap will happily fix a machine you were about to retire. Because we hold both trades, the answer you get is the honest one: sometimes that is a £60 part, sometimes it is a three-year refresh plan, and sometimes it is "leave this alone, it is fine".

  • No reseller commission. We do not earn a margin on the kit we recommend, so the recommendation is free to be inconvenient.
  • Repair before replace. Where a repair is safe, economic and extends useful life, we say so — it is cheaper for you and better for the planet.
  • Written before billed. Findings, options and price go to you in writing. Work starts when you say it starts.
Diagnostic report · sample
Storage health (SMART) Reallocated sectors
Thermals under load 94 °C · paste degraded
Battery wear 88% of design
Memory test (8 passes) No errors
Backup coverage None found

Verdict Repair — do not replace
Services

What you can hand us

Six service lines, priced as fixed scopes wherever the work can be scoped. Full detail on the services page.

01

Technology review & roadmap

A structured look at what you run, what it costs, where it is fragile and what should change first — delivered as a plain-English report with a costed order of work.

02

Laptop, desktop & server repair

Full bench diagnosis, component-level repair, screen and board work, power and thermal faults, storage replacement, and OS rebuilds with your data intact.

03

Data recovery & migration

Recovering what can be recovered from failing drives, and moving users onto new machines without losing files, mail, licences or the settings they rely on.

04

Cloud & Microsoft 365

Tenant setup, mailbox and file migration, licence right-sizing, sharing rules and the security defaults most small organisations never get switched on.

05

Networks, Wi-Fi & connectivity

Surveys, cabling advice, router and access-point configuration, guest and staff separation, VPN for remote workers, and fixing the dead spot in the back office.

06

Managed support & cyber hygiene

Ongoing support with an agreed response target, patching, endpoint protection, tested backups, and a short annual review so nothing drifts unnoticed.

How an engagement runs

Four steps, and you can stop after any of them

The same sequence whether it is a single laptop or a whole office rebuild. Nothing is billed before you have seen it in writing.

01

Tell us what is wrong

Email support@pktechgurus.pro with the symptom, the device or the decision you are stuck on. We reply with clarifying questions the same working day wherever we can — no forms, no call centre.

02

Diagnosis

Remote triage, an on-site visit, or the device on our bench — whichever suits the fault. You get findings, not jargon: what failed, why, what it will cost, and what happens if you do nothing.

03

Fixed quote, your decision

A written scope and a fixed price, with options where options exist. If the sensible answer is a cheaper repair elsewhere or no work at all, that is what the quote will say.

04

Work, test, hand back

We do the work, soak-test it, verify your data is intact and hand back with a short written record of what changed — so the next person to touch it is not guessing.

Questions

Before you get in touch

Remote triage by email costs nothing — describe the fault and we will tell you whether it is something we can help with. For bench diagnosis on a device, we quote a small fixed diagnostic fee up front, and it is credited against the repair if you go ahead. If we cannot find or fix the fault, you do not pay it.

Yes. The repair bench and data recovery work is open to households and sole traders as well as companies. Consultancy engagements are usually organisational, but we are happy to advise an individual on a device refresh or a home-office setup.

Devices are handled under UK GDPR. We access only what the repair requires, we do not copy personal data off a device except where you have asked us to migrate or recover it, and any working copies are securely erased once you confirm the job is complete. Where a job involves regular access to personal data we will put a written processing agreement in place.

Our full approach is set out in the privacy notice.

No. We take no commission, rebate or reseller margin on hardware, software or cloud services we recommend. Where a purchase is needed we will tell you what to buy and where, and you buy it directly — or we can procure it for you at cost plus a stated handling fee, disclosed in advance.

It depends on parts. Common failures — storage, memory, batteries, fans, thermal work, screens on mainstream models — are usually diagnosed and returned within a few working days. Anything needing a specialist or back-ordered part gets an honest lead time in the quote rather than an optimistic one.

Our registered office is in Langley, Slough, Berkshire. On-site work is concentrated in Slough, Langley and the surrounding Thames Valley; remote consultancy and support are delivered anywhere in the UK. Full details are on the contact page.

Next step

Describe the problem. We will tell you honestly what it needs.

One email is enough to start. Tell us the symptom, the device or the decision you are weighing up, and we will come back with questions, an approach and a price — before any work begins.
